Best Areas to Buy a Home in Bangalore
How to compare North, East, South, West and Central Bangalore when you are actually buying a home, not just reading a price headline.
There is no single best area in Bangalore. The right pocket is the one that matches your office, your budget and how long you are willing to wait for possession. CORPLAND uses five zones as a starting map: North, East, South, West and Central.
Start with the commute, not the brochure
East Bangalore — Whitefield, Sarjapur Road, Marathahalli and KR Puram — is where many apartment searches begin because of the office belts along the Outer Ring Road. North Bangalore — Hebbal, Yelahanka, Jakkur and Devanahalli — comes up when the airport or a township matters. South Bangalore covers Electronic City and Bannerghatta Road. West Bangalore, including Yeshwanthpur, is a thinner set of new launches. Central neighbourhoods such as Koramangala are often resale conversations in projects that are already delivered.
What to compare inside a zone
- Configuration you actually need, not the cheapest unit in the advertisement.
- Whether the price is a new-launch quote, an under-construction stage, or a resale in a delivered block.
- The phase. Large townships in Devanahalli and Sarjapur can contain several possessions and several prices.
- The approach road at the time you travel, not a ‘minutes from’ claim.
Public price bands move. A useful shortlist names the project, the developer, the configuration and the source of the price, then checks it again before a site visit. If a number cannot be confirmed, CORPLAND will say so.
